U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, Glyn T. Davies and Minister Atchaka Sibunruang of the Ministry of Science and Technology presided over the 11<sup>th<\/sup> annual awards Party at evening, recognizing companies with a commitment to conducting business responsibly and feeding back to society.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More than 70 companies applied for the awards, 59 companies met the rigorous qualification standards for their CSR activities, here are three selected as best:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Western Digital<\/strong><\/em><em> won the <strong>Excellence in Partnership Award<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Dow Chemical<\/strong><\/em><em> won the <strong>Excellence in Promoting Thailand 4.0 Award<\/strong> <\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>IBM<\/strong> won the <em><strong>Excellence in CSR Projects Award<\/strong><\/em><em> \u2013 presented by AMCHAM and recognizing general excellence in CSR projects.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Ambassador Davies <\/em><em>said that <\/em>\u201cI am proud to present the AMCHAM Excellence in Partnership award for the first time.\u00a0 This award highlights the exemplary efforts of American companies who work alongside Thais to bring about innovative, creative change through their CSR activities, they pioneer new technologies and business practices that help\u00a0transform Thailand\u2019s economy toward achieving the goals of Thailand 4.0, but also go beyond that to empower\u00a0communities to help themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>AMCHAM Board President Jeffrey Nygaard, highlighted the companies on creating meaningful long-term impacts.
