


On March 15, 2019, Ireland’s 103rd National Day is held by the Irish embassy to Thailand with a grand celebration with the invited guests from director of European department of Thai foreign ministry ,many foreign ambassadors to Thailand and guests about 200 people to attend the celebration ,at First , the new Irish ambassador to Thailand Mr. Tony Cotter, on the stage who delivers a speech to all attendants, Ireland -one of European countries, which is full of smiles, with seventy million Irish descendants dwelling all over the world, of which the eight hundred and fifty thousand ones having settled abroad, Ireland’s National Day also called as St. Patrick’s day”,, It has also become one of international festivals for world people to share together. It is viewed as Ireland’s connection with the rest of the world, serving as a bond of friendship internationally, Ireland’s overseas groups have set up good examples, and Irish chamber in Thailand makes a remarkable score in this way.in 2018 there were 72,000 Irish to Thailand and evidently seen that the numbers of tourists increasing year by year. With multiple exchanges between two countries, over 300 Irish companies export Irish high-tech and agricultural products to ASEAN including Thailand by providing with bilateral ties in the fields of machinery, finance, aviation and education. Irish education ranks among the top five in the world. With Britain leaving Europe, Ireland will become the only English-speaking country in the EU, so Ireland will become a major channel for Thai economy to enter EU countries. At spot with senior officials Minister of Education of Thailand and Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of Thailand, The event is fully immersed in the peaceful atmosphere and bathed in Irish musical melody, the guests sipping up wines and tasting authentic Irish cuisines, let Irish people oversea sending off the homesickness and indulge in the culinary tastes. A national party, filled with Irish national elements, lasted for hours amid warmth, as the guests shook hands by saying good bye and looking forward to seeing in next year.
