European Union Hand In Hand With Thailand

On 27 August,European Union Ambassdor to Thailand H.E.Pirkka Tapiola and Thai Ambassador to the European Union H.E. Manasvi Srisidapol gave welcoming remarks at a seminar on “EU Organic Market: Export opportunities and challenges”. The seminar was co-organised by the Mission of Thailand to the European Union and the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) to disseminate correct and up-to-date information on EU organic marker and relevant EU legislation. Nearly 150 participants form relevant public, private and academic sectors attended the event. On this occasion, Ms Elena Panichi, Deputy Head of Organic Farming Unit of the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Commission, also took part in the new EU organic regulation on organic production and labelling.
