ACMECS 2018 OPEN IN THAILAND

Thailand will host the 8th Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit from 15 – 16 June 2018 in Bangkok。

The Ayeyawady – Chao Phraya – Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) is a cooperation framework amongst Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to utilize member countries’ diverse strengths and to promote balanced development in the sub-region,it was Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra of Thailand who had initiated the establishment of this cooperation framework in April 2003

Ukraine

Ukraine is the largest country in Europe that lies on the northern shores of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, owned with the glorious past, tracing back to the first state on the current territory of Ukraine-Kyivan Rus  where had established in the 9th century with its capital in Kyiv,due to long history and big size in fields of art and culture of Ukraine which are unique and diverse. From the different regions have their own distinctive variations of traditional ornaments, motifs and colors rooted in Ukrainian folklore. Come to explore largely the undiscovered Ukraine where a nation possesses with old centuries-old culture, rich traditions and warm-hearted people.

       The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand proudly presents the exhibition of Ukrainian national arts and culture – “Diverse Ukraine” – featuring the photos of the Workshop “Treti Pivni”[Time Before Dawn” in Ukrainian folklore], 25 “Lialka-motanka” [handmade dolls)]by sisters Nataliya and Tetiana Katrychenko as well as ancient traditional Ukrainian costumes provided by “Spadok” Ethnogallery from the private collection of Demkuras Family.1–25 Sisters of Independence” by sisters Nataliya and Tetiana Katrychenko, made from the traditional handmade dolls which represent embroidery and typicla dress of Ukraine’s 24 provinces and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

2– This exhibition shows Ukrainian diversity that every Ukrainian family has a talent so uniquely, living peacefully on its land”.

3–Sisters Katrychenko have created Lialka-motanka dolls since 2009, with their artworks exhibited around the world.
