MEETING WITH THE NEW CHANCES AHEAD

On November 24, 2016 there was an assembly run by ATTA, with overall reviews of the events and news in 2016; ATTA quite had been rather working with Thai National tourist Apartments closely by hand in hand in Thai government’s crack-down the mainland China Zero Fee Tour, several months ago.

ATTA keeps in pace with Thai governmental policies, to push into European markets and raise the quality tour in British and Russian consumers, at results, ATTA quite corresponds to meet with any calls from Thai government’s strategies and plans, which upgrade the levels to Thai Tourism industry.

From November 2016-31 to December 1, the minister of Thai national sport and tourism, will lead a delegate from ATTA members to visit the cities of mainland China in chengdu,Chongqing, etc; within 5 days, making ties with Chinese travel agencies to open up Thai Quality Promotion Fair.

During 2 hours of the meeting, with an introduction to new members of ATTA in recruitment at spot.

On November 24, 2016 There was a regular meeting run by Thailand hotel association, presided by the chairwomen—Kun Surawan and other leaders, who made reviews of the association in domestic and oversea tourism events over 2016; The association quite actively had been involved in to cooperating with Thai National tourist Apartments, due to issue of severe policies by the Thai government to crack down on mainland China Zero Fee Tour, there was on slight decline at rate of the hotel occupancy, but in overall situation, it will be better looking to prospects. At end of the year THA had successfully received the Chinese tourists in totally eight million visitors to Thailand, including Thais actively participating in the domestic Tours.

In the Meeting, there had made into deeper analysis into current situation and at abroad, THA still has a long way to go, in pace with Thai governmental policies, to push up European markets by exploring up a large number of the quality market in establishing the positive images over British and Russian consumers ,at remarkable results, THA has dealt with arrival of the tourists in those countries; Moreover, Thai tourism authorities [TATA] urges its five offices in mainland China, to work actively by corresponding to Thai government’s strategies and plans in which will bring out the New Wave of Hopes to Thai hotelier industry;

Secondly; from November 2016-31 to December 1,led by the minister of Thai national sport and tourism ,There will be senior delegate to visit into the major cities of mainland China,, such as chengdu,Chongqing, etc; within the length of 5 days ,hoping to reach into close ties together with Chinese local travel agencies and further open up the new era and explore into A Broad Road-Map of Thai Quality Promotion in future .

Thirdly: opening up the ferry between Pattaya to Hua Hin, which provides a fast and sea channel so as to improve the quality of Thai tourism so greatly. Thus, all members of THA have been fully preparing in whatever of logistics, hotel facilities and material supply, patiently waiting in trend anytime and anywhere, in the upcoming of New Year 2017.

On November 23, 2016, there was a press conference being held by the ministry of the national sports tourism of Thailand, with more than 50 invited media to attend at spot, the speech initiated by the minister H.E. Kobkarn to deliver with the theme focused on [Upgrade the Quality of Travel to Thailand–Promote the Premium of Tourism in Images], while taking a

Review of the tourist events over 2016, throughout the year, the diversity of the travel routes and different kinds of themed tourism projects have been available on array of schedules and planning, Thailand itself, which renders the colorful charm and unique scenery to people all over the world, it has endowed with the natural resources and potential power.

While nearby approaching at end of 2016, there has been significantly seen that the increasing number of visitors from Europe, mainland China, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan market are steadily moving on, fortunately Thailand has successfully received the Chinese tourists in more than 8 million, looking to prospect of the tourism and beyond, Thailand is holding its leading position in the trend.

Fighting against [the Zero Dollar Tour] operated by Chinese travel agencies, the Thai government launched up the tough and effective measures so far to make any achievements ;continuously ,Thailand starts up with the program named as [Friendly Thailand Design Expo] in which Included as: 1– to grant some of foreign visitors [free visa ] within a year; 2—to offer Long Stay Visa within 10 years for those who are accelerated as the good quality tourists; 3—to design the 70 themed Travel Routs in remembrance of the King Rama Nine by Tracing back to His Majesty’ footsteps];

4–At the same time, from December 31 to January 1-2-3, 2017, the 4 days will be nominated as Grand Holiday to any visitors at home and abroad, 5—opening up the program [Thailand Luxury Travel] ;6—accordingly the relevant events designed like marathons ,in the name of [THAILAND SPORTS] includes [THE JET SKI RACE],[THAI BOXING SHOW],[WOLRD BODY BUILDING SHOW]etc., moving on the way now, in order to appeal to the world people ,the Thai government with its related tourism departments working together, will push forward to meet with the arrival of the New Year 2017 to come.

Nearly 2 hours, H.E. the minister stood up and made quick responses to answers raised by media people around her.

—[FOLLOW UP THE KING’ FOOTSTEPS IN REMBRANCE OF HIS MAJESTY’ GLORY]—

On November 16, 2016, there was a press conference run by TAT with over 100 guests invited from Thai media to attend by listening to the recent reportage and news over Thai Tourism Trend.

The conference was chaired by minster of Kun Kobkarn along with the governor of TAT seated together on the stage. [The 70 Latest Travel Routes], launched by TAT so as to memorize the passing of Thai King Rama Nine with the theme of [FOLLOWING THE KING’ FOOTSTEPS BY RECALLING THE MAJESTY’GLORY IN THE PAST],which highlight on the travel news 2016 and upgrade its top level in the upcoming visitors from home and abroad.

On the spot, the several fresh programs were separately listed out in the schedule, such as [THAI AIR-RACE] on coming soon, and continuously accompanied with a special event in remembrance of his majesty of Thai Rama Nine–[JAZZ FOR KING] being held on 26-27 Nov,2016,in Ayutthaya. It is estimated that there will be great numbers of the jazz players and musician from home and abroad to rush in the concert show and caused a stir over Thailand during the period of November to December.

NEW REGULATION TO LAUNCH UP

Recently, Thailand government launched up the series of the measures and regulations to fight against [ZERO –DOLLAR] group tours operating between Chinese tour companies and Thai tour agencies, the illegal operation being made severely for long term have been disturbed in Thailand and brought out the negative image to Thailand, therefore, as so to combat with the tourist chaos, Thailand so far has enhanced its premium quality on tourist market.

On September 14, 2016, Thai Association of tourist agencies[ATTA] run a major assembly on theme of [MEETING WITH CHALLENGE AND RESPOND TO NEW LAWS], the invited members were totally estimated 200 in presence at spot , many members spoke actively and expressed their own viewpoints toward the newly-issued regulations, furthermore, they wished that Thai government would considerably grant them a response from the expression overall in the conference and slow down on its implementation to the new measures.

In end, the mini-size press conference was held by ATTA to call up Thai media at spot for delivering its own idea and mind through the multi-channel, ATTA thought that they would extend their all members’ voices by presenting feedback to the related regulation makers of Thai government.

September 14, 2016, held by Public Hotel PR Association of Thailand, with its members nearly 50 people to attend at spot, the lecture was made by a Thai university professor showing the techniques through the teaching approaches to demonstrate the theme of [To develop skills & make etiquettes in the professional], his speech won the applauses from all listeners in the course lasting for 4 hours.
